    • The "current discussion" on the mailing list is caused by some genuine miscommunications and misunderstandings around things that we probably are actually pretty close on.
    • If we're going to talk about things, we need to have a common language to discuss these things and we need to be diligent about using it and not assume others know what we mean
    • The lack of use of precise language is often what causes these brouhahas
  • Jesse
    • There are two conversations going on: "What should Melody be and in what direction should she go in the long-term" and "What should we be and/or are we doing right NOW for Melody 1.0"
  • Jay
    • Jesse is absolutely right, there are at least two conversations going on and no one is stating up front which one they are participating in and that's causing a lot of general confusion. We should be able to decide which one is more important and I would say it's the short term Melody 1.0 conversation.
